Save Culture – Ethiopia is a Non-profit and Non-political Association has been Registered and Accorded legal Personality with Registration Number 6552 on December 06/2022 as Local Organization Accordance with the Civil Society Organization Proclamation Number 11132019.
Saving Live Cultures and Indigenous Knowledge of the Ethiopian Nation and Nationalities and Revitalizing Endangered Cultures, Languages and Indigenous Knowledge And use as a Means of Development & Poverty reduction programs, thereby Transferred to the next Generation
The Vision of Save Culture – Ethiopia is having a well protected Ethiopian Cultures and Indigenous knowledge for further different Usages of the society
Researching, Documenting and revitalizing the endangered Cultures, Languages and Indigenous Knowledge of the society and transfer to the next generation
In order to save and revitalize endangered Cultures, Languages and Indigenous Knowledge of the Ethiopian Nation and Nationalities and use as a means of Development & Poverty reduction programs, thereby transfer to the next Generation Save Culture-Ethiopia has the following Focal Areas:

The products of Traditional/Indigenous Medicinal system conservation

Indigenous Art, Traditional Beautification to be conserved
Indigenous Crafts, Clothes and Jewelers to be conserved


Giving priority for research and documentation to the vulnerable and endangered Cultures, Languages and Indigenous Knowledge of the least studied nationalities
Protecting the Cultures, Languages and Indigenous Knowledge of the Ethiopian Nationalities from Traditional Harmful Practices such as:


Conflict solving and Peace-making to create harmony among different societies by using indigenous justice systems
How the Kindkoysha society conserved their landscapes
Conserving Indigenous environment areas


Indigenous Environment protection system to conserve Dry Land Areas
The old church building with its cultural and religious heritages in it to be conserved


Cultural village to be conserved
Working in collaboration with local as well as international stakeholders and establishing networks. Example: Advisory conference on the traditional crafts and Medicines
